Visa & Residency in Dubai
A residence visa in Dubai is usually linked to a sponsor: an employer, a family member who already lives here, or a company in which you invest or are a partner. Some routes do not need an employer sponsor. GDRFA Dubai, for example, lists a green residence permit for an investor or partner in a commercial project, and the golden visa has its own published categories. Each route has its own conditions, and the authorities can update them, so we confirm the current position for your case at the start.
In Dubai, residence services are provided by GDRFA Dubai, while ICP issues the Emirates ID and handles residence for the other emirates. For a mainland employee, the MoHRE work permit and employment contract come before the residence visa; free zone companies apply for their employees' work permits and residence visas through the free zone authority. Applicants over 18 also complete a medical fitness test at an approved centre, and the Emirates ID may require a visit for biometrics. Renewals, cancellations and status changes each follow their own steps, and family members' permits remain linked to the sponsor's own residence.
Majlis Hub prepares and coordinates these steps for companies and individuals in Dubai. We build one list of people, documents and dates, check each file before it is submitted, coordinate the agreed submissions and appointments, and follow up on any request for more information. We are not a government office, and approvals and timing remain with the authorities. What you gain is continuity: someone who already knows the file when the next renewal, new hire or family application comes round.
